Finding + Buying

Where can I buy saxy chef products?

Check our Where to Buy page for an updated list of local retailers that carry our pies. We keep it up to date so you always know where to go.

Most of our core flavors rotate throughout the year, but availability varies by season and by store. Some flavors are limited: when they’re gone, they’re gone. Check your nearest store or visit our website to see what’s in season.

Not currently. Our pies are fresh and handmade, so we keep things local for now. Find a store near you on our Where to Buy page.

We deliver to locations across NH and VT. The full list is on our Where to Buy page, updated regularly.

Do you take direct orders?

We offer direct ordering during seasonal and special pickup periods only, think Thanksgiving, the holidays, and occasional limited drops. When ordering is open, you’ll find all the details right here on the site and on our social media.

When bakery pick up is live, information will be on our social media and on this website. All orders will be made online. If you want to order for pick up at your favorite retailer, contact that location directly.

Absolutely! Through our Pastries for Events offering. We supply handmade pies, bars, and scones to foodservice customers, event planners, and catering operations in our delivery area. Get in touch, and we’ll figure out the details.

Storage + Handling

How should I store my pie?

If you’re not eating it right away, it freezes beautifully. Pies keep well in the freezer for up to 3 months. When you’re ready, thaw at room temperature with the box open. To re-crisp the crust, pop it on a cookie sheet and bake at 375°F for 5–10 minutes. Best enjoyed within 5 days of thawing

We recommend eating your pie within a few days. It can be frozen, but the better option is to buy one of our frozen pies and bake it fresh when you’re ready. If freezing a baked pie, place in freezer up to 3 months, then remove from freezer and unwrap/open and let thaw at room temperature.

You’ve got a great pie. Let’s not mess it up. Here’s how to do it right:

  1. Preheat your oven: 375°F for conventional, 350°F for convection.
  2. Prep the pie: Cut 3 small vents in the top crust to let it breathe.
  3. Into the oven it goes: Place the frozen pie directly on the oven rack. Put a pan on the rack below to catch any drips. Trust us on this one.
  4. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes: Leave the pie in the tin while it bakes.
  5. Rotate halfway through: Give it a turn at the midpoint so it bakes evenly.
  6. Look for the signs: The crust should be puffed and golden brown — that’s when you know. Make sure it’s cooked through before serving.
  7. A little patience: Let it sit at least 2 hours before slicing so everything sets properly.
  8. Enjoy! Best at 1-2 days after baking, will store in the fridge up to 10 days. But honestly, it won’t last that long.

Dietary + Ingredients

Do you offer gluten-free pies?

We offer Wheat-free and plant-based options seasonally around Thanksgiving. Here’s the important distinction: Our gluten-free products are lab-tested at 10 ppm or less and comply with FDA guidelines. However, since gluten is present in our facility, we are not certified gluten-free.

Products labeled “wheat-free” contain no gluten ingredients but have not been lab tested. During busy holiday production, wheat-free pies may be made alongside full-gluten pies, which increases the risk of airborne wheat exposure.

If you have a serious wheat or gluten allergy, please reach out before purchasing so we can give you the full picture.

Of course! Our plant-based “Plant Pies” are available seasonally around Thanksgiving and Christmas at select locations. Flavors include Apple, Blueberry, Mixed Berry, Strawberry Rhubarb, Peach, and Pumpkin.

We use RSPO-certified palm shortening, sourced with sustainability standards in mind. Want more info about RSPO certification? Reach out, and we’re happy to share it.
